Psych Season 6 opens with our main characters Shawn & Gus, our psychic tag team duo. If you’ve followed this series since day one, you know these two very, very well. How their comedy banter back and forth plays throughout the entire show and of course the entire series. Now there are a few interesting details that come out in this season’s opener.
One, Shawn’s psychic ability is in question. He is confronted on a couple of times by Detective Lassiter (played by Timothy Omundson) and plays around the question of if he is really psychic. Early in the season though, Shawn gets around the doubt by passing a lie detector test.
Second, Shawn and fellow co-worker and Detective, Juliet O’Hara (played by Maggie Lawson) are dating but keeping it a secret from some in the police department. Namely, keeping it from Lassiter. Lassiter knows that there is something that Shawn and Maggie is hiding, but he can’t put his finger on it exactly. That concept is played on pretty heavily.
Now, Psych is a great television series to watch if you are up for some witty, smart comedy. The series is lightweight and even though murders and such are discussed, the seriousness is played down; making it a great watch for most of the family.
