Movie Review: The Best Man Holiday

best-man-holidayI recently saw The Best Man Holiday and I was beyond pleased with this riveting comedic tear jerker! This must see film depicts the reunion of a few high profile friends who come together this holiday season to learn the importance of family.

Chestnut, Long and the entire original cast of The Best Man including: Taye Diggs, Terrence Howard, Sanaa Lathan, Harold Perrineau, Regina Hall, Monica Calhoun and Melissa De Sousa — return in this Christmas-themed film; and these actors bring their game by making you laugh one minute and cry the next. This is a film that everyone can enjoy with the fellas bringing the sexy and the women adding the sizzle. These actors do not disappoint leaving you wanting more after each scene.

As mentioned, during their trip the friends face rough times that test the lengths of their friendships, while Mia (Calhoun) is the glue that holds the bunch together. Not only does the film provide laughs and tears, it gives you life lessons. I love the relatable qualities that it posses, because we all have those friends who upset us or we feel we cannot trust. The relationship between Harper (Diggs) and Lance (Chestnut) show us that through tragedy there can be triumph. You can’t help but to cry and laugh histerically at the crews up and downs. Not to mention showing you faith at its best through Lance (Chestnut).

Overall, this is a great movie with a great mix of elements that will keep you glued to the screen. If you are looking for a pick me up or just pure entertainment then this the movie for you!
