As Free-Spirited T and myself Lady A Plus arrived at Suite Food Lounge for Michelle Williams album release party we were first greeted by their professional valet attendants who then directed us into the revolving doors at the venue. Once inside, the Suite host directed us to our PR contact Mr. Alvaraz, whom was also very professional, polite and hardworking as he was finishing the last touches placing the red carpet & backdrops for appearance. We were then seated and admired all of the positive energy filling the room with several camera men, videographers, fans, and media entourages.
There were also other celebrities who attended the event, Derrick Blanks, D.Woods and Kameelah Williams to name a few.
While awaiting for Michelle’s appearance the wait staff was very proficient in offering us beverages as well as an assortment of hors d’oeuvres from shrimp and grits, wings, calamari and bruschetta which was absolutely delicious! In addition to this intimate setting,102.5 filled the sound of the room with every song from Michelle’s album “Journey to Freedom” along with her videos playing on every screen in the building!
While mingling with other guests, Michelle arrived gracing us with her beautiful presence and great energy. She was wearing a chic African type dress that complimented her beautiful black tresses with honey highlights. She then proceeded to the stage and gave an introduction and talked about her inspiration behind her album “Journey to Freedom”. Afterwards we were asked to position ourselves to take pictures with Michelle, we then proceeded, introduced ourselves and our affiliation and let the cameras do the action! It was a wonderful experience and we look forward to playing “Journey to Freedom” on Yul radio as well as seeing Michelle continue to grow and embrace her freedom.
