How I would Tell It: ATL Live Event

20130813_193620If you asked me why should you attend the ATL Live at Park Tavern, I would probably look at you like you were crazy and respond by saying, “Why wouldn’t you?” Of course that answer would not satisfy your curiosity. Inevitably you would ask more about the event. Given my three previous experiences attending this event, I have no problem answering any questions. In my brief illustration, I’d be sure to quench your inquisitive mind.20130813_204355_HDR-1

I begin to tell you what it’s about, giving a good description on the environment. You would see it’s an event for the grown and sexy with ladies strutting in high-heels and the men sporting their swag. I would tell you that it’s a beautiful outdoor venue nicely decorated with plenty of tables and chairs to sit. There are a lot of servers waiting to seat you with a menu in hand. Not to mention there is a small red carpet area where you could snap some pictures creating and making long lasting memories. It truly is the perfect venue.

Let’s say you do not like being outside because of inclement or extreme weather. No worries! You will be protected because the venue is under a super secure tent with large fans generating air to keep guests cool.

DJ Drew Babey from Love&Hip-Hop makes an appearance at ATL Live along side with up and coming artist Curtis Fields.

And if that didn’t catch your attention, I’d mention DJ Trauma. He flawlessly plays a perfect blend of old and new school music. Once DJ Trauma has set the mood, he is followed by Kenny Burns who hosts the event. The live music sounds from the Teddy White band will certainly keep you entertained. To top it off, I would include the part about live performances from new and seasoned artist like Vivian Green, Chris Scholar, Mathia and Glenn Lewis just to name a few.

Now I that have successfully answered your questions, I hope I have your  undivided attention. But before I let you out of my sight, I would ask, “Did you read the two other articles I wrote on ATL Live?” Those articles thoroughly explain what you will experience attending this event. Yep that’s how I would tell it, but that’s just me.

This month’s ATL Live performers were Glenn Lewis, Algebra, and Curtis Fields. I interviewed each artist and asked what would you say to get people to come out to this event? And let me tell you, they answered the question better than I could have ever put in words.

Glenn Lewis says it best: “It’s an opportunity for you to experience what is attach to the name; a live experience!” He had the audience in chills as he performed the 2001 hit single “Don’t You Forget It.” In addition to the old Lewis also performs his newest single “Can’t Without You.” His latest album Moment of Truth will be released October 15th. Here’s what he had to say about ATL Live: Glenn Lewis Atl Live Experience 101

Does the name Curtis Fields ring a bell? It should since he performed the single “Opposites Attract” during the Music Matter showcase this year at BET Awards. He shocked everyone as playing the guitar from an app on his iPhone. Fields did it again wowing the audience with his high-tech guitar playing skills as he sung his rendition of “With a Little Help From My Friends.” He too, had a lot to say about the ATL Live event with recognition for the artist.

“It’s a good environment. If you like going out, then you should support good environments for going out. I mean Glenn Lewis is performing right now! If you’re an R&B fan, why aren’t you here?”

Finally I end with the amazing sounds of Algebra. You probably know her best for the song “For Ever More” featuring Anthony David. Things have always looked bright for the soul singer, but her latest single “Nobody but You,” is destined to top the charts. Listen to what she has to say as she takes the cake on supporting the ATL Live event.

There’s a reason why I wrote this hypothetical scenario. I want you to get the experience I felt. It’s an inviting atmosphere, funky fresh music, impeccable service and live performances that highlights everything ATL Live represents. These are the reasons why YOU should attend this event. If you don’t believe me, go check it out for yourself!
