Annual “Untold Stories Awards” and Scholarship Luncheon

(ATLANTA) – March 8, 2014 – The Black Women Film Network (BWFN) presented its annual “Untold Stories Awards” and Scholarship Luncheon yesterday at the Marriott Marquis Atlanta.

 

This year’s honorees included actress Katerina Graham, “The Vampire Diaries;” wellness/life coach to the stars – Gabrielle Union, Lindsay Lohan, Anne Hathaway —  A. J. Johnson; actress Crystal Fox (OWN/Tyler Perry’s “The Have and the Have Nots;”); Bernard Bronner, film investor, founder of UPSCALE Magazine and CEO of Bronner Brothers Inc.; Kashira Alexander (executive producer, The Weather Channel); Jocelyn Dorsey (editorial director of WSB TV2); Deidre McDonald (artistic director, BronzeLens Film Festival) and Evelyn Mims (community relations director, WXIA-TV).

 

Egypt Sherrod from HGTV’s “Property Virgins” 11Alive News anchor Karyn Greer co-hosted the event. Music was provided by DJ Salah Ananse.

 

A scholarship was presented to Temple University film student Gabriela Watson Aurazo. Additional attendees included Ebony Steele (Dish Nation/Rickey Smiley Morning Show), Traci Blackwell (VP Programming, The CW), Kysha Cameron (CEO, Ryan Cameron Foundation), Sheila Bronner (Publisher, UPSCALE) and Adrene Ashford (owner, House of Adrene).
